Launching of the Johor Junior Centre

Y.A.B. Dato' Haji Abdul Ghani bin Othman, Menteri Besar Johor officially launched the Johor Junior Centur on 26th April 2008. It coincided with the Malaysian Golf Association's Golf Clinic and the Royal Johor Charity Golf tournament. The Johor Junior Golf Centre was initiated by Dato' Haji Abdul Ghani and today we have 160 juniors registered with the centre. Enchik Ruhaizad bin Hasim, a professional golfer, is a full-time coach at the centre and lessons are conducted not only on Saturdays and Sundays but also on weekdays.

The Junior Centre caters for an introduction programme, where juniors get and opportunity to learn the fundamentals of golf formally. The juniors should use golf as a platform for character building. Playing golf develops good character traits such as discipline, determination, respect, self control and integrity.

Central Malaysian Properties sdn bhd Donating a cheque for RM 10,000 during the launch.

The Johor Junior Centre organised 6 Golf Monthly Medals for Juniors from all centres to partcipate in during 2010;

The Johor Juniors Grand Final was held on 22nd December 2010 at the Starhill Golf & Country Club;

Workshops & Field Demonstrations are conducted on a regular basis for the beginners at the Decentralised Centres; and

Periodic Golf Clinics by golf professionals are also part of the programme. These clinics are conducted at the decentralised cetres from time to time.
